At some point in our lives, we all need help. Help with marriage problems, finances, family issues, emotional stress or difficult times with our children. Impact Missions Counseling Ministry is dedicated to providing the help and hope people need to regain a healthy and productive lifestyle.

Affordable Assistance

Our services are offered on a sliding scale, based on the individuals personal income level. Life is hard, but there is no reason to go through these difficult times alone. We cannot promise that everyone who comes to Impact Missions will have all of their problems solved, but we can commit to providing quality, Biblically based counseling with one of our seminary trained staff counselors.

David Donaldson
President/Clinical Counselor
David R. Donaldson, Ph.D., serves as President for Impact Missions, Inc. (Desoto Sunrise Homes). He has been a Desoto County resident for over 36 years. David has over 15 years of experience in logistics, human resources, operations management and is a skilled negotiator who has owned and operated a small business consulting firm for over five years. He is also the founder and president of Christian Counseling Ministries of Southaven, a ministry that has grown to include 5 staff counselors and over two thousand completed sessions annually. Educational Experience and Training: Doctorate in Philosophy in Biblical Counseling and Master of Arts Degree, Biblical Studies from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. Bachelors Degree in Christian Ministy with a dual major in Christian Education from Mid-South Christian College in Memphis, Tennessee. Served as an Adjunct Instructor of Small Group Ministries at Mid-South Christian College.

Christy Murphy
Youth & Teen/Family & Marriage
Christy is a youth and family counselor for Impact Missions, Inc. Her focus over the years has been a combined effort of education, counseling and helping children with mental disabilities. Her background includes over five years with the Tennessee Infant Parent Services organization as a Parental Advisor and Intake Specialist. Christy served as a Home Intervention Specialist for the Fox Meadows Adolescent Day Care Treatment facility, affilitated with the Northeast Mental Health Center of Memphis. Christy has been a resident of the Bartlett community for over 30 years.

Carmen Taylor
Youth & Teen
Carmen has served in the helping profession for over fifteen years. She holds two BA degrees one in Sociology and one in Religious Studies. She also holds two post graduate degrees one in Human Service Administration and one in Counseling. Carmen began her career in Chicago IL where she served as a Foster Care Case Manager, Teen Parent program Coordinator and Child Welfare Investigator during her ten year tenure with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Her family moved to the Mid-South in 2003 and she began serving as a Special Investigator with the TN Department of Children’s Services. It was during this time that she was called into counseling. She enrolled at Harding Graduate School of Religion where she later earned a Bible-based MA in Counseling. Carmen's clinical work with children and adolescents began in 2003. She has served children, adolescents, families and couples both in Bible –based counseling ministries and for-profit counseling centers since that time. Her Child Welfare work combined with her clinical training and experiences give her a level of expertise in working with children and families that are faced with child abuse/neglect issues. Carmen is also gifted in meeting the needs of children , adolescents, couples and families who are faced with other life challenges. In addition to her Clinical service, she has also been called into the missions field. She has served as a Missionary in South Africa and New Orleans (following Katrina). She is currently preparing to serve in Haiti. She is happily married to the love of her life Marcus who is a small business owner. They have two beautiful daughters and three dogs.

Our Purpose

Impact Missions Counseling Ministry is a 501 (c) (3), tax exempt, non-profit ministry providing Biblically based counseling services. The purpose of this ministry is to provide Biblically based counseling to anyone who has a desire to seek the will of God in resolving conflict in their lives, improving their relationship with Christ, family, friends and acquaintances, or those who seek relief from the difficult issues of life.

How Can You Help?
